Channel manager

Hotel channel manager that keeps every booking site in sync

Keep your OTA listings and stop double bookings. LodgingOs connects to Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Airbnb and the rest through Channex, and the channel manager is included in the price, not sold on top.

What a hotel channel manager does

A hotel channel manager connects your property management system to the online travel agencies that sell your rooms, such as Booking.com and Expedia. It sends each of them your availability, rates and stay rules, and it brings their bookings back into your system.

Without one, someone updates every extranet by hand, and the gap between a booking on one site and closing the room on the others is where double bookings come from. With one, a room sold anywhere is closed everywhere.

What goes out to your channels

Changes queue the moment they happen, at the desk, from a new booking or in your rates, and are sent within about a minute. A full re-sync runs every night as a safety net.

  • Availability for every room type, for up to 500 days ahead.
  • Rates for every rate plan you map.
  • Stay rules: minimum and maximum stay, closed to arrival, closed to departure and stop-sell.

What comes back to your desk

Bookings arrive as Channex sends them, usually within a minute. A booking for a room or rate you have not mapped yet raises an alert for the manager instead of disappearing.

  • New bookings, with the guest's details, straight onto the front desk.
  • Changes and cancellations made on the booking site.
  • OTA virtual cards, captured with the booking and charged at the desk or automatically.

How setup works

In the desk's channel manager settings, each of your room types is matched to its Channex room type, and each room type and rate plan pair is matched to its rate, once. After that, a full sync sends everything out, and the button is there whenever you want to push it all again.

One set of rules for every channel

Rates, stay rules and availability live in one place in LodgingOs. Your own website, Mae on the phone, the website chat, walk-ins and the booking sites all read from it, so you change a rate or close a date once and every channel follows.

Direct bookings too

Your own website and booking engine share the same availability, so a room sold on one channel is closed everywhere else. Each direct booking is one you don't pay a commission on, and the channel mix report shows how the balance is moving.

Calendar sync for rentals

For listings that only offer a calendar feed, such as some Airbnb and Vrbo listings, an iCal sync imports their bookings once a day as a simpler alternative.

Included

The channel manager is included in LodgingOs. $199 a month per property, flat. No setup fee, no contract, first month free.
